Painting: Beginners to Van Gogh

Participants will use acrylic paints to explore the limitless possibilities of the use of color, texture, brushwork, imagery and composition. This class will be based on experimenting with and bringing out the uniqueness that each person has.

Instructor bio

Arlene Florence is an American painter who was born in Connecticut. She studied art at Boston University, Harvard and Temple University's Tyler School of Art. She was the recipient of the prestigious Prix de Paris Painting award and her work has been exhibited in many North American and European art galleries and museums. Her paintings combine abstractions with suggestions of nature and of figurative movement.
