Using various mediums to create collage, this workshop might be described as "everything but the kitchen sink." Participants will learn how to pre-treat your support media and watch demonstrations of coloring tissue paper, photo transfer and other newly discovered techniques. Each person is encouraged to find their own path as they explore the collage media.

Instructor bio

Vae Hamilton likes working in layers. Her paintings feature layers upon layers of information, events, people and feelings, filtered through her own perspective. She works with acrylic paints, photo transfers, multimedia, and expanding creative imagery. She is featured in Gerald Brommer’s book, Collage Techniques as well as creating the cover art for Branches, Volume 10 for which she received the “Editors Choice Award”. Her paintings have appeared on the cover of Art of Wellbeing Magazine and was published in the National Ohio Grand Exhibition. Hamilton is a member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society and the Society of Layerists in Multimedia. Learn more
