Free Painting Class - Tuesdays at Turchin (Students Only)

The Tuesdays at Turchin Free Painting Class is for Appalachian students only.

The Turchin Center will open its studio space every Tuesday to Appalachian students to learn a new skill by a professional artist. All supplies provided and no experience necessary. 

This semester's guest artist is Tunde Afolayan Famous who will be teaching a painting class.

We can only allow a maximum of 30 students into the Free Painting Class due to limited space in TCVA 3200.

Guest artist bio

Tunde Afolayan Famous has emerged amongst the ranks of contemporary artists committed to embracing figurative expressionism. He received his formal training in art at the prestigious ‘Yaba Tech’ ( Lagos-Nigeria) and attended graduate school at the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA. Tunde has taught art courses at Yaba Tech, National Louis University (USA), and Elizabeth City State University (USA). In the Fall of 2006, Famous became a full-time studio artist, maintaining his practice in the state of North Carolina. Visit his website at tundevisualart.com
