The Turchin Center will open its studio space Tuesday and Thursday to Appalachian students. All supplies provided and no experience necessary.
Explore the world of texture, color and design. Play with paint, collage, pastels, pen and ink with ASU Assistant Professor of Art Education Rosa Dargan-Powers. Rediscover your creative spirit in a community of peers as you explore different mediums in an inviting loft space.
Open Studio is free and open to Appalachian students only. Class meets in 3200 TCVA Arnold Rosen Building and is limited to a maximum of 25 students per each night.
All materials are provided.
About the Instructor
Rosa Dargan-Powers is a studio artist and an adjunct instructor in ASU’s Department of Art. She is involved as an organizer and participant in many community art events. Besides teaching and art making, Rosa enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, traveling, gardening, bee keeping, singing, and community service.
Open Studio is free and open to Appalachian students only.
How to Register
Appalachian students must sign in before each class. Students must present a valid Appalachian ID.
NOTE: Classes will be cancelled for inclement weather if Appalachian State University closes.
