Documentary filmmaker Tom Hansell is working with the Town of Boone, North Carolina and the Watauga Riverkeeper to collect plastic bags and other debris from a passive stormwater debris collector nicknamed the Trash Trout.

During this workshop, people of all ages can come together and create a short film strip by taping small pieces of plastic and other river debris to 16mm film. Participants can also draw or color on the film to add their own personal touch.

The short film strips will be spliced together into a silent film reel that will be projected onto a large screen and shown at various events in spring/summer. Tom Hansell will facilitate the workshop. All supplies will be provided.
