Ceramics and Glass: A Student Focus Exhibition

In partnership with Appalachian State University’s Art Department and Department of Technology, Ceramics and Glass is the first in the series of Student Focus Exhibitions. This show will consist of pieces created by students working in the Department of Art and Technology Department ceramics studios as well as the Glass Residency Program with visiting artist Junichiro Baba. The show is an exhibition juried by the staff of the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts. Accepted works will consist of ceramics and glass as the primary medium, which will present non-functional as well as functional works from beginner to advanced.

This series of exhibitions is designed to display the innovative ideas and current works by students studying the arts at Appalachian State University. Through extensive studio hours and a result of dynamic teaching styles, this work truly illustrates the creative quality that Appalachian cultivates.
