The Turchin Center is proud to provide access to our galleries and programs through our website, walk-through videos, ARTtalks, learning guides, and virtual workshops. The Turchin Center’s staff is available to assist students, faculty, staff and community members with digital information and online resources related to our exhibitions.

Connections: Exhibition Guides

Connections: Exhibit Guides are a comprehensive visitor resource that provides insight into the exhibitions in the galleries. They can be used in conjunction with a visit to the galleries or for those who are visiting remotely, as a guide for independent study. The guides include extensive information and images of the exhibition including the artist’s biography and statement, video links and provocations. Exhibition guides are provided in an interactive pdf format located in the exhibitions section of this website. The current and archived exhibition guides are also available below.

ARTtalks / Artist's Spotlight Series

ARTtalks are talks led by visiting or exhibiting artists, scholars and practitioners. These talks provide deeper insight into creative practice, context for current exhibitions or contemporary issues shaping the world in which art is created, experienced and interpreted.

The Artist Spotlight Series is part of An Appalachian Summer Festival and features interesting and informative virtual programming that provides a behind-the-scenes view of the festival’s offerings in the visual arts, music, theater and dance.

The Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition is a national juried sculpture competition. Each year, 10 contemporary American sculptures are selected and installed in locations on the university campus. A self-guided walking tour map, a learning guide and QR codes on the signage adjacent to each sculpture provides in-depth information about the sculptures and artists who made them. The walking tour map is available at the front desk or can be found here along with the learning guide and a link to a video tour.
