WORKSHOP FACILITATORS

Jemiah Williams is a first-year graduate student studying clinical mental health counseling with a concentration in expressive arts therapy. She is interested in various forms of art. Most of her experience has consisted of recreational artistry with painting, projections, film, music, and dance. Jemiah’s hope for the open studio workshops is to foster an inviting environment that allows individuals to connect with others in the community through discussion, collaboration, and creativity while utilizing art to explore themselves and their passions!

Born and raised in Greensboro, NC, Elissa Paula resides in Boone, NC, working towards her BFA in Studio Art at Appalachian State University. Elissa primarily works within the medium of painting, but her passions lie in learning new methods of making and expanding herself to an interdisciplinary artist. As an open studio workshop facilitator, Elissa looks forward to fostering an uplifting a creative environment for students to create meaningful artwork.
