turchin center for the visual arts

COVID 19 INFORMATION

Based on a priority to maintain the health and safety of our visitors and staff during COVID-19, the Turchin Center will remain closed to the public for the duration of Fall Semester. We are providing continuity of our programming by providing access to our galleries and programs through our website, walk-through videos, ARTtalks, learning guides, and virtual workshops.

More information about Turchin Center programming during COVID-19

The Center features two wings and six galleries with changing exhibitions of contemporary artworks by national and international artists, as well as the finest local artists of our region. An art classroom serves as a space for art workshops, and a 105-seat lecture hall is home to the ARTtalk series and Lunch & Learn programs as well as provides a venue for educational lectures. Outdoor sculptures are located across the Appalachian State University campus.
