The Turchin Center is an important resource for the community and creates unique experiences to interact with the arts. The community can engage with dynamic exhibitions, ARTtalks, workshops and tours.
Connections: Exhibition Guides
Connections: Exhibit Guides are a comprehensive visitor resource that provides insight into the exhibitions in the galleries. They can be used in conjunction with a visit to the galleries or for those who are visiting remotely, as a guide for independent study. The guides include extensive information and images of the exhibition including the artist’s biography and statement, video links and provocations. Exhibit guides are provided in an interactive pdf format located in the exhibitions section of this website. The current and archived learning guides are also available below.
For more information, please contact the education staff at the Turchin Center.

ARTtalks
COVID message: ARTtalks scheduled during fall semester will be held in virtual format and will be announced on the exhibitions pages and the calendar of this website.
ARTtalks are talks led by visiting or exhibiting artists, scholars and practitioners. These talks provide deeper insight into creative practice, context for current exhibitions or contemporary issues shaping the world in which art is created, experienced and interpreted.

Due to COVID-19 and a need to ensure the safety of our staff and community, in-person gallery tours are not currently being offered. Visitors are encouraged to explore the Virtual Tours of the galleries.
Rosen Self-Guided Tour
The Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition is a national juried sculpture competition. Each year, 10 contemporary American sculptures are selected from an abundance of entries and are installed in locations on the university campus. A self-guided walking tour map, a learning guide and QR codes on the signage adjacent to each sculpture provides in-depth information about the sculptures and artists who made them. The walking tour map is available at the front desk or can be found here along with the learning guide and a link to a video tour.

Virtual Gallery Tours
Take a journey through the galleries of the Turchin Center via video walk-throughs and artist interviews that tell stories and provide insight into the compelling and diverse artwork featured in the galleries. You can also view our Youtube Virtual Tour Playlist.
