Jeana Eve Klein has been teaching at Appalachian State University for just over 16 years. She is a professor of fibers and assistant chair for curriculum in the art department and recently she was asked to join the Turchin Center advisory board. She sees her role as a great opportunity to help build the bonds and strengthen the connection between the art department and the Turchin Center. Fibers is her primary medium both as an artist and as an educator.

Jeana shares in this video “In the Studio with Jeana Eve Klein,” some background about her personal work as well as how she has pivoted to adapt to the restrictions of teaching during the coronavirus pandemic. She also shares what she is doing to help out during the pandemic and provides guidance to create a weaving project of your own. This is a wonderful opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes of an artist and educator at home.
